Our story
When Mat was 26, both his mum and dad were diagnosed with life-threatening illnesses. He and his partner Jenna quickly realised that while medical care was essential, what his parents really needed was company, someone to spend time with, share experiences, and help them stay connected to their community. They needed someone like family when Mat and Jenna couldn’t be there.
That’s how Like Family was born, to connect people with Social Carers who do more than just a job. They become a meaningful part of someone’s life, providing support, friendship, and a sense of belonging.
