Our insurance policy

To give you added peace of mind when using our platform, we have Public Liability and Group Personal Accident Insurance in place with an A-rated insurer.

This means our Social Carers can rest easy knowing that if an emergency situation arises during a Like Family booking, they are covered. 

Our insurance policy does not cover:

  • People under the age of 18 who contract workers directly. Someone over 18 years of age must be engaging and hiring our Social Carers to be covered.
  • Work that is arranged or invoiced outside of the Like Family platform.
  • Social Carers who are found to be providing services outside of our approved services.
  • Transport. Social Carers must have their own car insurance (a minimum of third party insurance) if they wish to provide transport assistance to Members.
