Why choose Like Family?
Connect with your community
We specialise in social support activities that can help anyone engage with their community, like exercise, arts & craft, and a buddy for events. View our support services.

Annette
Like Family is amazing. I have been with 2 providers previously, and always had issues. Like Family is so easy to deal with. The office staff are all so helpful, and my carer is fabulous. Nothing is a problem. I’m blown away
Find the right support
We're committed to helping you find the right support for your needs. You can search for Social Carers (support workers) based on location, age, qualifications, even interests! We also offer up to 5 free Meet and Greets so you can confirm that a Carer is the right match for you.
Meet Social Carer Jared
Jared became a Social Carer in 2018 to give back to his community. Find out how he helped Members Daniel and Ryan gain confidence and become close friends by running group bookings.
How it works
Find the right Social Carer in three easy steps:
Post an Activity
This is like a job ad. Tell Social Carers what you would like to do, and at what day & time.
Message a Carer
You can also search for and contact any Social Carers who match your interests, needs, location and more.
Request a Meet and Greet
This is like a job interview to check if a Social Carer will be a good match. You can arrange up to 5 free Meet and Greets.
Frequently asked questions
What can a Like Family support worker help me with?
Our support workers can help you with a range of activities to build your independence, engage with your community and have fun. These include help with household tasks, meal preparation, arts & craft, skills development, transportation, and companionship to social events. They cannot help with medical or personal care.
Why is your pricing so much lower than the NDIS suggested hourly rate?
We want social support to be accessible and sustainable, regardless of your budget and funding. Our focus on community participation is designed to maximise the amount of care you receive, so you can set bigger and better goals for your Core Support and Capacity Building plans.
Do you charge any prepayment, subscription or credit card fees?
We want our pricing to be as simple as possible, which means no added fees. You only pay for the time you spend with your Social Carer.
Where is Like Family located?
We provide social support in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland. If you live out of area, we also offer phone and video bookings. Contact us on hello@likefamily.com.au if you need a hand finding a Carer in your area!

I am currently sitting my Cert III in Aged Care (Individual Support) as I want a job where I can help others with my life skills. I still volunteer in my spare time as there is nothing more rewarding than giving your time to a cause you believe will benefit others.

Hi!! My name is Philip. I am confident in my ability to be a healthy role model, someone to rely on, but most importantly, just be there for them in the good and bad times.
