What personal care tasks can a Social Carer help with?
Social Carers with personal care qualifications can support with showering, dressing, toileting, grooming, mobility assistance, meal preparation and medication prompts. If you have specific needs, we will help you find someone with the right skills.
How do I know my Social Carer is qualified?
Social Carers that provide personal care complete an NDIS Worker Screening Check, have a minimum of Certificate III in Aged Care or Disability or reference checks, and ongoing quality monitoring. We also have Safety Assessments in place for every Member to ensure Social Carers can safely support your personal care needs, including mobility assistance, showering, dressing and daily routines.
Can I meet a Social Carer before booking personal care?
Yes. You can arrange a Meet and Greet to get to know a Social Carer before committing to paid support. It is a relaxed way to confirm comfort, trust and personality fit.
What if something goes wrong during a session?
All bookings are insured through Like Family. In the unlikely event of an incident, injury, concern or misunderstanding, our customer care team steps in to help resolve it quickly and transparently.
How does pricing work with my NDIS plan?
Hourly rates for personal care can be found on our pricing page. We provide NDIS-compliant invoices and records, and your budget is only charged after a completed session. No hidden fees and no lock-ins.
What if my regular Social Carer becomes unavailable?
If your Social Carer is sick, on leave or has a change in availability, our team can help you find a suitable backup. This way your routines stay consistent and you are never left without support.
