I was motivated to become a Social Carer because I genuinely enjoy helping people and making a positive difference in their daily lives. Supporting others to feel safe, respected, and valued gives me a strong sense of purpose. My studies in Community Services and my placement experience have shown me how meaningful it is to build trust and help people maintain their independence and dignity. I believe I will be good at this role because I am empathetic, patient, and a good listener. I treat every person with kindness and respect, no matter their background or ability. My experience working with NDIS participants has taught me how to provide person-centred, culturally sensitive, and professional care. I’m also reliable, understanding, and always willing to learn new skills to give the best support possible. I’m passionate about helping people and making a difference in their lives. I enjoy building positive connections, listening to others, and supporting people to reach their goals. My main skills include empathy, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork, which help me work well with clients and colleagues in caring environments. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, cooking, travelling, and spending time outdoors. I also like learning about different cultures and languages, which helps me understand and respect people from all backgrounds. These hobbies keep me open-minded, patient, and motivated both personally and professionally.
