I want to become a social carer to support individuals in building independence, social connections, and meaningful engagement in their daily lives. Through my placements, I have seen firsthand how companionship and functional support can significantly enhance well-being, whether it’s helping older adults maintain their independence or assisting children in developing essential life skills. I believe my understanding of person-centered care, active listening, and empathy can further help clients to feel being supported and loved. As an occupational therapy student, I have developed strong communication and observational skills to cater unique needs of clients. I also have creativity and patience in thinking persoon-centered and interesting programs or activities for clients.
