I was motivated to become a Social Carer because I’ve always been drawn to supporting others. My years as a police officer taught me empathy, patience, and how to communicate with people from all walks of life. Owning and running a motel and restaraunt also strengthened my ability to listen, help, and care for people’s needs. I believe these experiences make me well-suited to providing genuine, compassionate care. I’m passionate about helping people live happier, more independent lives. I enjoy meeting new people, building connections, and making a positive difference in someone’s day. I’m skilled in communication, problem-solving, and staying calm under pressure—skills I developed both in my policing career and through running a busy motel. Outside of work, I enjoy travelling, sport, cooking, and spending time outdoors, which keeps me active and balanced I’ve always been a people person — I like helping others and making a difference in someone’s day. My background has taught me how to stay calm, listen well, and handle just about any situation. I’m also into sport and keeping active, which helps me bring good energy and a positive attitude to my work. I genuinely care about others.
