I wanted to become a social carer because I can provide kind, joyful and empathetic care to those who need support in their lives. My background in childcare and health care administration has been built on my genuine interest in enriching the lives and wellbeing of others through assistance and care. I love dancing, visiting new places and doing puzzles. I also enjoy spending time with friends and family. I’m passionate about animal welfare and I volunteer at a charity which cares for and rehomes surrendered pets. I have my Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and have previously worked in a preschool as an assistant educator. I also have many years experience in hospital and community health administrative roles. During this time, I’ve learnt a lot about navigating what can often be complex health care systems. As a mum of young adult children and as the daughter of an elderly parent, I have first hand experience and understanding of the value of kind and nurturing support to others.
