I am currently employed part time as a Diversional therapist at a respite centre for Aged and Disability care clients. In this job I am required to set up suitable programs of arts/crafts, games and outdoor excursions for a group of clients to participate in and enjoy. I also have 2 years experience working in an individual support and assistant in nursing role. I have assisted clients and their families through light domestic duties, personal care work, accompanying clients to social activities and respite care activities. I believe a big part of my job as a diversional therapist and carer is to work with my clients and families to ensure whoever is in my care feels safe and comfortable in whatever environment we may be in and ultimately enjoyment in activities they choose. I am a great listener and have a easy going personality and nature. Happy to chat and learn more about people. My hobbies are daily walks/run for exercise, reading, movies and family time.
