I decided to become a social carer because my years in social science research have driven home to me how important social support is for people to live their best life. I love people, and working in a now more data-driven role, I would like to connect with and support others in a more direct way in addition to my strategic work. People have always commented that I am positive, caring, have great communication skills and am sunny-natured, and I believe these traits will serve me well in this capacity. Too many to count! I love reading, knitting, baking, diamond painting and writing. From a fitness perspective, I am into multiple sports, predominantly Crossfit and triathalons. I also enjoy other active pursuits like hiking, rock climbing and martial arts. Watching movies, listening to audiobooks and spending time with family and friends is my favourite way to unwind. I have a background in psychology and a keen understanding and interest in the human experience.
