About me

I was motivated to become a Social Carer because I am passionate about helping people and making a positive impact in their daily lives. I find purpose in supporting individuals to feel valued, respected, and empowered. With 2 and a half years of experience in care, I have developed strong skills in providing both emotional and practical support, while showing empathy, patience, and understanding. I believe I will be good at this role because I am compassionate, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality care. My background and experience have prepared me to meet diverse needs and build meaningful relationships. I am passionate about supporting people to live meaningful and independent lives. I find joy in helping individuals build confidence, achieve personal goals, and feel included within their communities. My skills in empathy, patience, and active listening enable me to connect with clients and understand their unique needs. I am also organised, reliable, and committed to providing consistent, high-quality support. In my free time, I enjoy reading, listening to music, and walking—activities I can also share with clients to encourage wellbeing. These passions and skills allow me to deliver meaningful, person-centred care. I have been working for more than 2 and a half years in disability facilities, where I gained hands-on experience supporting individuals with diverse needs. In addition, I have personal experience caring for my autistic brother, which has strengthened my patience, empathy, and understanding of the importance of person-centred care. I also hold a Certificate III in Individual Support, which provided me with strong practical and theoretical skills in care work. Currently, I am in my first year of studying a Bachelor of Nursing, further developing my knowledge and ability to provide quality support. I am dedicated, compassionate, and reliable.
