I became a social carer because I wanted to help those who needed it. My grandfather, and a close friend from school, both have disabilities and I have personally seen their struggles. I've wanted to make a difference and give someone in need a chance to smile and to have a good day. I have been working as a disability carer for 5 years now. I'm very empathetic, reliable and understanding, and the best part of my day is getting to hear my clients say they themselves had a fulfilling day. My passions in life are getting to help those in need and making people smile. I like getting a good laugh out of others who enjoy my company and goofing around with them. In general, getting to know and be involved in other's lives when they so desire is very important to me. I'm quite skilled at adapting to different people I work with. I've been noted for my ability to empathise and communicate with all sorts of people. Other skills include analysing and reviewing, which I enjoy as both a passtime and at work. My hobbies include watching and analysing film and literature, card collecting, playing video games, piano playing, singing, sketching, and taking relaxing walks and hikes.
