I am from a loving and close family, a Mum of 3 independent boys and married 23 years. My family have taught me to listen, care, not judge, be patient and encourage. I have assisted in some unique challenges including helping my oldest son navigate the difficulties of having Epilepsy all his life, playing a very large role over the last 5 years in caring for my Mum who was diagnosed with early onset dementia at 68 and my dad (aged 83 with a back disability) to stay in their own home. My professional experience in a Home Support worker role includes, assisting with household tasks (cleaning, cooking, laundry), companionship, travelling with clients to meet commitments and on outings in the community. I am appreciated and considered family by my clients for my patience, positiveness, reliability and easy-going nature. I enjoy exercise, painting/chalk drawing, music, reading, walking & hiking, cooking, organisation and gardening. I am best suited in roles that help me make a difference in the lives of others. I am very flexible with hours required on a weekly basis and happy to fit in as needed.
