I'm an empathetic, caring guy with reflective listening skills who enjoys helping others do what they wish to do. I realised this during my teenage years when I helped people with disabilities learn to sail small boats with the Scouts organisation. Since then, I have branched out, briefly teaching English in China, and now after attending University, tutoring indigenous peoples in psychology and statistics. In a nutshell, I would be a great social carer because I genuinely care for working with people and helping them achieve their goals and have "that energy" that comes with enjoying what I do. I have a knack for describing complicated concepts in easy-to-understand ways. This skill comes through in my academic tutoring; however, my first job was as a computer technician. I could merge the two by helping community members and passing on simple IT-related skills, such as setting up e-mail systems or basic troubleshooting.
