About me

I wanted to become a Social Carer because with my current employment I have the opportunity to help primary school students with ADHD, ASD, Autism and Dyslexia with their learning, social skills and help to make their schooling more enjoyable. Doing this job has made me want to be able to help other children and teens outside of their schooling with their everyday life and to not only be there as a carer but also as a friend. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with friends and family going away and also going to watch the local football. I also enjoy exercising and going on adventures. Considering my role as a primary school educational support staff member, I have many skills, strategies and experience in many different situations with students aged 5 - 10. I believe this will help me in a role as a social carer as I may be able to use some of these skills and strategies working in this career.
