I am currently studying a Diploma of Counselling and have a strong personal connection to support work. Growing up, I faced my own challenges with mental health and have close family members living with disabilities. Through my own journey of healing and learning to live well with mental health conditions, I developed a deep passion for helping others. I want to ensure that people have the support and opportunities they need to live their best possible lives, and I believe my empathy, lived experience, and studies equip me to do that. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, reading, going for walks, creating art through painting, sketching and scrapbooking, as well as exploring new places. These hobbies give me a balance of creativity, relaxation, and curiosity, which I feel also enrich the way I connect with others. I would describe myself as a strong problem-solver and an active listener. My approach is not about trying to ‘fix’ people, but rather supporting and guiding them towards building their own positive path forward As mentioned, I am currently studying my Diploma of Counselling and have discovered a genuine passion for helping and supporting others. My own life hardships have given me insight and empathy, and I am committed to ensuring that others do not have to face challenges alone. I work well under pressure and bring a strong understanding of mental health and disability through both personal and lived experiences. I believe this combination of study, resilience, and lived knowledge allows me to connect meaningfully with the people I support.
