About me

My motivation grew through personal experience within my own family. When my father-in-law was diagnosed with dementia, I helped support his daily care needs. During that time, I saw firsthand how meaningful consistent, compassionate support can be. Not only did it make a difference to his comfort and wellbeing, but it also provided significant relief for my mother-in-law. Seeing how much it helped her manage the emotional and practical challenges of caring for him showed me just how important this role is for families. This experience reinforced my desire to work in a field where I can genuinely help people feel supported, understood, and less overwhelmed. With over five years of experience in disability and aged care, combined with my personal caring experience, I have developed a strong, empathetic, and patient approach. I communicate clearly, adapt well to changing needs, and take the time to understand each person’s individual circumstances. I am confident in building trust, offering calm and respectful support, and helping people feel comfortable and empowered in their daily lives. I truly enjoy helping others, and I take pride in delivering care that improves wellbeing—for individuals and for their families. I am passionate about supporting others and making a positive difference in their daily lives. I genuinely enjoy building meaningful connections and helping people feel comfortable, valued, and understood. This passion drives the way I approach both my work and personal life. I bring strong interpersonal skills, patience, and clear communication to everything I do. I’m adaptable, reliable, and able to stay calm when situations change or become challenging. I take pride in being organised, observant, and attentive to individual needs, which helps me provide consistent and person-centred support. Outside of work, I enjoy a wide range of hobbies that keep me active and grounded. I love sports, especially cricket, football, soccer, and rugby union, and I enjoy following games as well as staying active myself. I also appreciate spending time outdoors gardening, and I have a genuine love for animals. These interests help me maintain balance and bring a positive, energetic approach to my role.
