Hi. I'm so glad you're here reading my bio. My name is Merryl and I am a mother to 2 wonderful grown children and grandmother to 4 beautiful grandchildren. I'm fun-loving, responsible and compassionate and have great empathy and patience for others which allows me to make friends easily. I'm very active and love keeping busy but of course, there are times when a leisurely stroll around the neighbourhood with my dog or a walk along the beach can be a great way to wind down or relax the mind after a busy day. I love a good card or board game and consider myself an expert in 'pairs' and 'go fish' after many a game with the kids. I have a passion for cooking, crafts, listening to all genres of music and dancing, especially dancing. Shopping can be a tedious chore sometimes so I occasionally like to go into the department stores and play dress ups with hats, bags and even wigs. Yes, I do like to have fun sometimes. I would love the opportunity to spend time sharing my skills but also learning from others; never stop learning is my mantra as I believe it makes us better humans. I'm a great listener rather than a talker and I'm not sure I like that about myself. I'd rather be both, to be honest. Making a difference in someone's life can be so rewarding and if I can make a person's day by making them smile is the best feeling and I cherish those moments and working as someones friend/carer is hardly a job at all.
