My motivation to becoma a Social Carer comes from a deep desire to make a difference in peoples lives by providing quality care in line with autonomy and empathy. Having handled vulnerable people in my life both family and proffesionally has strengthened my commitment to promoting dignity, safety and independence of the participant in every interaction.
I believe I’m good at this work because I’m empathetic, calm, and reliable. I communicate clearly, respect everyone’s background, and work well both independently and in a team. I also hold appropriate qualifications including a Certificate III in Individual support, diploma in Healthscience, NDIS orientation module certificate, First and CPR certificate, WWCC and NDIS Screening Check. Most of all, I care deeply, and that shows in how I support each person with patience and dignity.
I bring over six months of hands-on experience as a support worker, with strong skills in person-centred care, daily living assistance, and culturally sensitive support. I’m confident in providing companionship, hygiene support, and domestic tasks like meal preparation and cleaning. I follow safe work practices, including manual handling and infection control, and I’m known for being reliable, self-directed, and calm under pressure. I’m also a strong communicator and active listener, with a genuine passion for community and social support. On top of that, I’m proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, and I’m very goal-oriented in everything I do.
I have a great passion for personal growth and development, health and nutrition, spiritual connection, music (both singing and listening),nature, art, film, food, restraunts and culture.
