About me

My Nana had Alzheimer’s Disease and watching her fade was my motivation for becoming a carer. It can be very hard for families to support their loved ones and to navigate the ageing journey. I want to support our older community and their families to enjoy the best life possible and enable them to stay in their own home as long as possible. Keen animal lover, I have 6 cats of my own and a dog that identifies as a cat. I volunteer with a local charity that helps keep people and their pets together and also helps those with mental health challenges and over 65’s. I’m an amateur genealogist / family sleuth! Nothing like a good family mystery to solve. I love wandering cemeteries and looking at the history behind the tomb stones. Getting out and about with my clients whether it be a trip to to Bunnings, Kmart or just going out for a coffee is important for building social networks. Trips to the beach in winter, a stroll along the foreshore or even a drive to the You Yangs! I like to keep busy with crafts and enjoy candle making, vinyl decal work and DIY projects around the house. Anything from planting flowers to renovating my kitchen. I’m handy on the tools and will give pretty much any reno task a try. I am a dedicated and compassionate aged care professional with extensive experience in providing high-quality support to ageing individuals in all aspects of life. I’m experienced with MND, Parkinson’s and palliative care. I’ve completed the MND Aware course from The MND foundation succesfully. My commitment to person-centred care ensures dignity, comfort, and respect for clients in all stages of their life journey. Proficient in delivering holistic care tailored to the unique needs of elderly individuals, promoting their physical, emotional, and social wellbeing. Strong interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Ability to develop and implement effective care plans, ensuring comprehensive support and continuous improvement. I work effectively and efficiently within healthcare teams, contributing to a cohesive approach to client care. Passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of those I care for, I approach every role with love, empathy, professionalism and a commitment to excellence. I treat my clients as if they were my family
