I wanted to become a Social Carer because I genuinely value human connection and believe no one should feel alone or unsupported. I’ve seen how meaningful companionship, conversation, and having someone reliable by your side can positively impact wellbeing and independence.
I believe I’ll be good at this role because I’m friendly, patient, and easy-going, with a natural ability to make people feel comfortable and heard. I take pride in being dependable, respectful, and present, and I enjoy supporting people to stay connected to their community in ways that feel positive and empowering.
Some of my hobbies include listening to music, gardening, camping, playing board and card games, and spending quality time with family and friends. I enjoy relaxed social activities, outings, and shared experiences that encourage connection and enjoyment.
My strengths include being a good listener, having a calm and friendly nature, and offering practical support such as transport to appointments, assistance with shopping, and running errands. I enjoy helping everyday tasks feel easier while keeping things light and enjoyable.
I focus on companionship, social support, transport, and community access only. I do not provide housework, cleaning, or personal care, which allows me to give my full attention to connection, conversation, and out-of-home support.
I value kindness, trust, and clear communication, and I aim to support people in a way that feels comfortable, respectful, and meaningful. I enjoy building genuine rapport and creating a supportive, positive experience for the people I work with.
