Hi, my name is Melina, Tell us why you would make a great Hero. I am a very energetic empathic person with lots of experience working with children from all walks of life (including children at risk, learning and behavioural difficulties), working as a disability support officer and a outdoor adventure instructor. I find it easy to talk to anyone, because i can generally find a common ground with most people. I think i would make a great hero because i want to make a difference in everyones lives even if that is as something as small as giving someone a smile or brightening someone days with a happy conversation, Tell us how you will share one of your skills or hobbies to help someone in our community. If someone is struggling with anxiety or similar I would like to try to teach them something new in nature because i am strong believer that being outside and being amongst nature is a healthy way to start healing and coping again. This doesn't need to be anything big, even just a small walk in the park and I could maybe talk about some different native flowers in gardens and help settle there mind just for a little while to help bring that person some gentle mindfulness and calm.
