I enjoy dedicating part of my life to being of service, it gives me added purpose. I have been a key worker for a young man with significant disabilities within independent living since last year. I have previously done art therapy with adults with disability. I’ve written and illustrated a children’s book on child protection, endorsed and supported by Kids Helpline. With corporate sponsorship, we work on a book distribution strategy together to give these books for free to vulnerable communities. My son, now an adult, has high functioning autism. I am a professional artist and children’s book author illustrator. By becoming a carer I chose to insert some structure into my otherwise free flowing creative life. I am a bubbly, social, connective human who adapts and blends very well into different environments
