I was motivated to become a Social Carer because of my personal experience caring for my grandmother and mother. Supporting them through different stages of life made me realise how important it is to provide compassionate and respectful care to those who need it. This experience gave me a deep sense of purpose and joy in helping others live with dignity and comfort.
I believe I will be good at this role because I am patient, empathetic, and a good listener. I enjoy building relationships and bringing a positive attitude to my work. I also have experience working with people who have high needs, and I always aim to provide care with love, respect, and responsibility. I am a quick learner and always committed to improving my skills to offer the best support possible.
I am passionate about helping others and creating a positive environment, especially for people who need support. One of my biggest passions is bringing joy through simple things like conversation, music, or a friendly smile. I also enjoy dancing, which helps me stay active and happy.
Some of my key skills include strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to stay calm and patient in challenging situations. I’m a quick learner, responsible, and always treat others with respect and kindness.
In my free time, I enjoy going for walks in the park, listening to podcasts about health and culture, and spending time with friends. I also like cooking simple and healthy meals, and going to the gym a few times a week to stay active.
I come from a caring background where supporting family members has always been a part of my life. This has shaped me into a person who is reliable, empathetic, and attentive to the needs of others. I’m originally from Colombia, and living in Australia has helped me grow both personally and professionally. I have experience in cleaning, hospitality, and support work, which has strengthened my communication and problem-solving skills.
I take pride in doing my job with love and responsibility, and I always try to bring a positive attitude to those around me. I have the Certificate IV, and I´m studying a Diploma in Community Services to continue improving my skills and knowledge in care work.
