After years of working in the corporate world, I wanted to change my career path to something more meaningful and people-focused. I realised that I am most fulfilled when I am helping others feel supported, respected, and cared for, rather than working purely towards business outcomes. I like staying active and taking walks, as this helps me maintain both physical and mental wellbeing. I also enjoy reading and learning new things, particularly topics related to personal growth and wellbeing. These hobbies help me stay patient, present, and energised, which I believe are important qualities in a caring role. I am currently employed full time in the Banking Industry. I have been apart of the front line work at the bank for 10 years. What I found most enjoyable is assisting my vulnerable customers. I found a connection with them which allowed them to seek comfort in me. As I am motivated to shift my career path to becoming a Support Carer if successful for the position I will place my 4 weeks notice with my current job to start my journey.
