I have always been passionate about helping others and making a positive difference in people’s lives. Seeing the impact that quality care can have on an individual’s well-being inspired me to pursue a career in support work. I wanted a role where I could provide meaningful assistance to people with disabilities, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life. Completing my Certificate III in Individual Support (Aging and Disability) reinforced my passion for this field, giving me the knowledge and skills to support individuals effectively. Why I think I will be good at it: With six months of experience as a support worker, I have developed strong skills in personal care, communication, and problem-solving. I am patient, empathetic, and reliable—qualities that are essential in this role. I take the time to understand each individual’s needs and preferences, ensuring they feel respected and supported. My First Aid and CPR certifications also mean I can respond effectively in emergencies, ensuring client safety. Outside of work, I enjoy playing cricket, reading, cooking, exercising, volunteering. These hobbies help me stay balanced and bring a sense of joy to my daily life. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends, as I value strong relationships and meaningful connections.
