I have been working in SIL homes doing community access and a mixture of both day and sleepover shifts. I have worked with behaviours of concern and full hoist care to more independent clients. Personal care with some clients and a variety of participants from Downs syndrome and alzheimers and clients with seizures and epilepsy. I enjoy having a variety of clients but feel clients are best supported with regular workers who understand their goals and needs. I am a respectful person who believes you should treat others the way you like to be treated and believe I am a valued and trustworthy and reliable member of my current team. I am hardworking and have a good work ethic and enjoy a busy shift with clients that like to get out for the day and be involved with others and in the community. Seeing my clients make connections and be involved in the community is a reward in itself and I love to see them trying new activities and making new friends and living life to the best of their abilities. I will listen to my clients and work alongside them based on the level of support that they need. I believe open honest communication is the key to any successful relationship. I personally enjoy an active lifestyle and love swimming cycling and gym and walking my dog. I adore all animals and have a cat and dog at home.
