Aside from having a nursing background, I am a former preschool and primary teacher back in my home country. Simply put, I know how to determine what a person needs and what to improve. However, I don't dismiss the idea of being trained to further enhance and be effective in being a Social Carer. After introducing a skill or hobby, I give time to the person to get him/herself familiar with the rules and other important lessons required. If it is not to the individual's liking, I can ask him or her what's his/her interest. By doing so, I will be able to determine what should I introduce.
