I have always been passionate about helping people and getting involved with the community to create a positive and encouraging environment for everyone. I worked for many years in Germany as an au pair to a German family and their 4 boys. This taught me many valuable skills in caring for a family, house work, managing different schedules, emotional support and overall how important it is to have a companion around you! I volunteered with a dance therapy program in Sydney, called ‘a moment to shine’ and putting smiles on faces of all involved was the most amazing experience! My experience in customer service has shown me the power of a simple conversation. Connecting with people is often all we need to feel valued and cared for. I would love to use my skills to strengthen friendships in our community. I am interested in meeting new people and learn about them! Everyone’s story is unique and valuable, I am excited to listen without judgement, build friendships, learn from others and help them grow! I recently had an injury myself and the personal support I received was one of the only things that mentally and physically got me through the difficult time. I would love the opportunity to provide that same support to community members and be a friend to those that may need it! Helping others by sharing my skills or hobbies would be fantastic! Through listening to a new friend about their interests and what they enjoy doing, having an honest conversation about what brings us joy and sharing my hobbies as well, we can possibly find a new, shared hobby that suits us both. I love being creative and making new things, perhaps we can create a painting together or something crafty to display and be proud of! We could also go to a dance class and laugh as much as we can!
