I have worked in the community service sector for over 10 years, with the majority of time spent in disability support. I have work with youth in out of home care, adult survivors of child sexual abuse, education support in a youth justice centre. I have worked with people with a variety of disabilities, including those with: - Physical disabilities - High support needs, including personal care and manual handling - High behaviour support needs - Non-verbal - Aged clients with disabilities - Young people with disabilities - In a day service setting - 1:1 support I have a bachelor of Sociology, that is, the study of society, with the aim to one day be a registered social worker. I am currently a part-time caseworker in the community service sector looking for extra work. When I got my very first job as a disability support worker I realised how rewarding it was to support someone to live their best life, and I liked the person I was when I was supporting clients. I am person centred, compassionate, trauma informed, and pride myself on my integrity.
