I bring a deep sense of empathy, resilience, and understanding to my work, shaped by significant lived experience from a young age. Growing up, I experienced family trauma, violence, and severe bullying that began in early primary school and continued through to the end of high school. During this same period, my mother was diagnosed with cancer when I was just 11 years old, and I felt a strong need to support her through every step of that journey.
I have experience managing my own chronic as well as a life of supporting myself with the help of professionals, through my own personal experience with Complex PTSD and ADHD.
At a young age, I naturally stepped into a caring role—supporting my siblings, being present for my mum, and doing my best to ensure those around me felt safe, supported, and seen while also navigating my own need for care and the journey of becoming who I am today.
These experiences shaped me into an independent, compassionate, and strong woman, and instilled in me a lifelong desire to help others through difficult and uncertain times. I am deeply empathetic and grounded in experience, which allows me to connect genuinely with people (and animals) and meet them where they are, without judgement.
For the past 12 years, I have worked closely with children and teenagers as a nanny and home helper within family homes, building strong, trusting relationships and providing consistent emotional and practical support. Some of those children being neurodiverse, with ASD and non-speaking.
I am passionate about helping people recognise their own strengths, find their inner light, and feel supported as we work together to navigate life’s challenges and celebrating every achievement and milestone.
Alongside my work as a nanny, I have been a photographer for over 15 years and have a strong creative side. I love cooking and baking, and anything that allows me to work with my hands. I also have a deep love for animals, particularly working with and training dogs, and dog behaviour - understanding those that may have had a difficult start in life, helping them fell understood. Animal care has been a major focus of my life in recent years, too. I previously worked with the RSPCA until my then local shelter closed, spending my days caring for dogs and cats, and I have continued to support rescue organisations since.
Much of my time is spent fostering rescue dogs and cats, as well as caring for my own pets: two rescue dogs, Remi and Hazel, and my one-eyed cat, Rory, who was rescued from the streets at just five weeks old.
Outside of work, I enjoy tending to my plants, going to the movies (especially a good edge-of-your-seat thriller), watching British panel-show comedies such as QI, Would I Lie To You?, and Taskmaster, spending quality time with family, and camping. Early mornings and watching the changing sky at sunrise are something I truly cherish—they bring me a sense of calm, grounding, and perspective that I carry into both my life and my work.
