My friend Elaine is a part of an organisation similar to 'like family' and she raves about it! I was in Science before I had my four kiddos and now I am trying to reenter the workforce I wasn't sure I wanted to get back in the lab working in the private sector. Whilst I have been raising my kids I have been heavily involved in community organistions such as the school P&C's and sporting groups. I found working in the community to be extremely rewarding and I see the social carer role in a similar light, a way to positively impact the lives of people. The role also allows me a bit of flexibility to still be available to my own family. I love photography, I often have my big camera with me when I am out and about! I LOVE animals! We have chickens, a kitten and I have 2 completely gorgeous kelpies who are a part of my next hobby... running. The 3 of us run most mornings, often with my 12 year old. My husband and I have a side hustle which is importing soccer balls from Vietnam! He is the soccer maniac thought, I am all about the photos and admin.
