Being witness and help over the years to friends who have had mental health issues and terminal illness has allowed me to see the effect this has had on them mentally and socially and has made me want to help others in similar situations. I am motivated to build connections and empower people who may find it difficult to motivate or empower themself. I love that every person/day is different in a social carer role and my compassionate, empathetic and supportive personality, I believe will be key to helping others navigate their own needs. I try to live life to the fullest, im outgoing and have a love of Nature and getting out. I enjoy walking and exercise. In my down time i love reading and painting. I am a survivor of cancer, and that journey has shown me a very lonely and isolated world. I want to be the person to step into someones world and open it up, to navigate difficult situations or to be a support that could change how they live or function. Im not shy to house cleaning and general home duties. I handle each task with diligence and care and have pride in what I do to help those around me. Communication is key to a good working relationship and I will always ask if im usure of what is expected.
