Hi! I’m Kate and I’m 56 years old. I recently retired after being a police officer for 24 years. Before that I travelled extensively and worked in hospitality in many different countries. I love cooking and baking, craft, gardening, hiking, camping and just generally spending time in nature. I also love movies, shopping, eating out and any time spent with animals! I’m experienced at problem solving and teaching others, and I love sharing the things I love doing with others. I’m also good at assessing risk and have excellent situational awareness. I’m passionate about helping people and am currently studying counseling. I love making videos for my YouTube cooking channel, writing and teaching myself to paint. We also have three cats, and if you need support with your pet, like vet visits etc, I’d love to help! My brother-in-law lives with disability, and I spend lots of time with him and his friends. I love getting involved in activities with them. It's important to me that everyone gets the chance to live their best life and has the opportunity to try any activity or learn any skill available to them without being limited by age or accessibility. I think my life experience would make me a good companion for any kind of adventure! Please note, whilst I'm happy to do almost any kind of social activity, either in or out of the home, provide transport to events, shopping, appointments, etc, unfortunately, I am not available for domestic duties like cleaning.
