My motivation to become a Social Carer comes from both personal and professional experience. I have cared for family members living with Autism, ADHD and anxiety, and through this I have seen how compassion, patience and reliable support can transform daily life. These experiences gave me a strong sense of purpose and helped me understand the importance of emotional safety, clear routines and respect for individuality.
Professionally, I have worked as a physical education teacher, university lecturer and education manager for more than two decades. These roles have made me energetic, adaptable and dependable, and have strengthened my communication, mentoring and documentation skills. I am passionate in supporting ASD children, teenagers and adults in studying school curriculum, vocational training and higher education, as well as helping them make informed study choices that build confidence and independence.
I also have strong knowledge in literacy and numeracy skills in the Australian context and have attained Level 5, the highest level, in both English and Math in the Australian Core Skills Framework assessment. This allows me to support clients with learning, study organisation and goal planning with clarity and structure.
I am passionate about helping people grow and participate in their communities. My hobbies include nature walking, swimming, going to the gym, light exercise, reading and travelling, all of which keep me active, curious and balanced. I enjoy social outings and value meaningful conversations that build trust and confidence.
As a migrant and multilingual person, I bring cultural awareness and a genuine respect for diversity and inclusion. I stay calm under pressure, organised in my work and positive in my attitude. I believe these qualities enable me to contribute meaningfully to a caring and professional team that supports people to live more independently, confidently and with dignity.
