I have always worked within the Caring Sector. I have a Bachelor Degree in Social Work. My social work roles have been in Cancer Services, Education Social Worker, Rehabilitation Social Worker. I have also worked for Mission Australia with the Mission Beat Team with the homeless. I have skills and knowledge that motivate me to become a Social Carer. I am able to communicate both verbal and written. I can adapt to many situations and I am able to listen to clients and show empathy and respect at all times. I am able to work on my own or within a team environment. I respect other cultures, beliefs and values. I am depenable and reliable and can build up a good rapport with people. I have the skills and caring approach to be a good kind Social Carer. My passions are spending time with family and friends. I enjoy travel and I play soccer during the winter season. I love to ski and I have just started to learn Italian. I was born in the UK and emigrated to Australia in 2002. I am comfortable meeting new people, I am enthusiastic, cheerful and optimistic. I cared for my Father who had Dementia for 2 years. We would walk and dance everyday.
