Having worked in home care roles since 2020, I am looking to provide my services through Like Family. My home care experience has been around providing support to different members of our community through different ways such as social support and companionship, transportation, light home duties, light outdoor activities and tailored services depending on your needs. I believe in providing support through being an active listener and taking other people's needs into consideration , person center approach and showing genuine compassion. If you like cooking, I have been advised by my clients that I make different kinds of cuisines and other options like healthy flat bread (see pics below!). I am happy to share some of my cooking skills and knowledge. Alternatively, if you have a favourite recipe that you like to enjoy, I am happy to make it for you. As for the outdoors, I enjoy going for walks (including dogs), hiking/bushwalking and camping. I was part of a hiking and mountaineering club I when was in university and enjoyed the many spots that were hiked or climbed. I also enjoy a diverse range of music, having a musical family helps with that! I have been described as being reliable, kind, responsible, patient and that caring is part of my nature. I love to help, care and work with persons in making their lives better and more comfortable. I have a young family, providing support to them brings me reward, the same way i have felt rewarded supporting members of our community. I receive positive feedback (verbally and written) from clients and respective families who find me positive and that I brighten up their lives. I look forward to offering support to members of Like Family that require assistance.
