A friend recently suffered a c5 Spinal Injury. I have spent most of the last three months keeping him company and helping with his rehabilitation/preparation for a return to the world while he lives in the Spinal Rehab ward. The more I am exposed to his new world the more apparent it is that the support, friendship, compassion and ease of use you expect to see in the world simply doesn't exist. I want to help people reconnect with fun, play, hobbies and life! My career to date has all been customer focused and service driven, I am good with people, good at events planning and delivery and enjoy helping deliver great experiences! I like all sorts of things! I've owned a gym for almost 15 years so have a keen interest in fitness and sports. My absolute favorite sport is trail running but I just love being in nature in any capacity. I love to read and write. Play board games (Dice Throne is my favorite.) I play the Banjo (Not well.) There isn't a great deal I don't like... There is usually something fun in everything! I've owned and operated the most successful Parkour GYM in Australia (AAPES Parkour) for almost 15 years. Recently I handed the management over to junior staff and want a new 'forever career' closer to home and closer to my family. I am a fit, confident and competent person. I've been an educator in one respect or another for most of my life and have worked both in the gym and in early childcare with people from diverse backgrounds and with diverse ranges of abilities with great success. I have a two and three year old, as a result of this I truly believe I am the single best reader of The Gruffalo in the world. I want to do something meaningful with my time. I am not interested in a sitting at a desk pulling in a pay cheque. I want to know that someone has been helped.
