About me

My motivation to become a Social Carer started from seeing how much of a difference small acts of kindness can make in someone’s life. When I was caring for a family member during a difficult time, I realised how important it is for people to feel supported, listened to, and not alone. That experience stayed with me and sparked a genuine interest in being there for others in a professional way. Now, as a nursing student with experience in both aged care and community settings, I’ve developed strong skills in communication, empathy, and being present for people from all walks of life. I’ve learned that being a good carer isn’t just about tasks—it’s about building trust, creating a sense of safety, and helping someone feel valued. I think what sets me apart is my ability to connect on a human level. I bring a calm, positive attitude and always take the time to understand what each person needs—whether that’s practical help or just a friendly chat. Supporting others isn’t just something I do it’s something I genuinely care about. I’m passionate about caring for others and making them feel comfortable, supported, and valued. I have a calm and friendly nature, and I enjoy building connections through patience, good communication, and being a good listener. I also like helping people stay organised and feel confident in their own space. In my free time, I enjoy going for walks, listening to music, singing, and spending time with my family. I love having a good chat and sharing laughs with others. I also enjoy watching movies—especially funny or action-packed ones—as they help me relax and stay positive. These hobbies keep me grounded and help me bring a warm, upbeat energy to the people I support.
