I want to become a support worker as I am a retired overseas Registered Nurse, would love to give help and assistance to the elderly who require it. I worked in aged care in NZ for 10 years and have been a support worker in Sydney for the last 3 years. I get enormous joy and pleasure out of making some small or large positive change in someone's day. I am kind, caring and compassionate. I have heaps of patience, thoroughly enjoy helping people. I have a great sense of humour which certainly is an asset at times! My hobbies include reading, road running crafts and socialising, hearing people's stories, learning about their cultures and way of life. If I can lie down at night knowing in my heart that I have made someone's day just a little bit better, then I know I have had a good day!
