I’ve always enjoyed helping people feel comfortable, included, and supported in their everyday lives. Over time I realised that some people, especially those with disabilities, simply need someone patient and reliable to help them get out into the community, attend activities, or enjoy social connection.
I decided to become a Social Carer because I want to make a positive difference in people’s weekends by helping them live more independently, experience new places, and feel connected. I enjoy spending time with people, having meaningful conversations, and supporting others to build confidence in the community.
I see social care as a way to give back, use my strengths, and make someone’s day easier and more enjoyable. It’s rewarding to know that even small moments of support can make a big impact.
I’m someone who genuinely enjoys good conversations, exploring Melbourne, and discovering new parks, cafés, or places to visit. I love driving and taking scenic routes, it’s something that really relaxes me. I’m also into fitness, spending time outdoors, and staying active.
In terms of skills, I’m patient, easy-going, and a good listener. I’m reliable, respectful, and organised, which helps the people I support feel safe and comfortable. I’m passionate about helping others get out into the community and enjoy their day.
