About me

I believe I’ll be good at this role because I’m patient, empathetic, and highly attentive to individual needs. I listen carefully, adapt my approach to each person, and remain calm and respectful in all situations. I’m also reliable and organised, which I know is essential when people depend on you for their wellbeing and routine. Additionally, I take pride in building trust and maintaining professionalism while still being warm and approachable. I understand the importance of respecting boundaries, confidentiality, and cultural differences, and I’m committed to learning and improving so I can provide the best possible care. Some of my key passions include spending time outdoors, staying active, and connecting with people through shared everyday activities. I enjoy walking, gentle exercise, and being in nature, which I believe is especially beneficial for older people and individuals with a disability, both physically and mentally. I’m comfortable supporting others with short walks, outdoor time, or light activities that encourage movement, confidence, and independence at their own pace. I also enjoy walking my dog, which has helped me develop patience, routine, and an understanding of responsibility. I know how positive animal interaction can be for emotional wellbeing, and I’m mindful of safety, boundaries, and individual preferences when supporting others around animals. Fishing is another hobby of mine, and I enjoy the calm, social aspect of it. It has taught me patience and the value of quiet companionship, which can be particularly meaningful in aged care and disability settings where conversation, presence, and shared experiences matter just as much as physical support. In terms of skills, I’m a good listener, reliable, and empathetic. I communicate clearly, follow routines carefully, and adapt to individual needs and abilities. I’m respectful, safety-focused, and always aim to support people in ways that maintain dignity, choice, and independence.
