I have a genuine passion for caring for and supporting people. I’m empathetic, a great listener, and I approach every interaction with understanding and flexibility. As a high school teacher, I’ve developed strong communication and interpersonal skills, but I’ve realised that what I value most is working one-on-one with people — being able to give someone my full attention and support them in a meaningful, personal way. I believe my proactive and adaptable nature will make me a compassionate and reliable Social Carer. I love cooking and often challenge myself to create something delicious and nutritious from whatever I have in the fridge or pantry — I enjoy the creativity and problem-solving that comes with it. I also love reading, hiking, spending time at the beach, and being out in nature. These activities help me stay grounded, patient, and positive, which I bring into my work and relationships. I currently work as an English as an Additional Language (EAL) teacher, supporting students from a wide range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds. This role has strengthened my ability to communicate with empathy, adapt to diverse needs, and apply trauma-informed practices. I pride myself on being culturally responsive and sensitive to others’ experiences. These skills, along with my calm and caring personality, will help me be a supportive and understanding Social Carer.
