I am a Psychologist with non- practicing registration and no intention to ever return to practice. I have completed Certificate 111 Individual Counselling and Support (this being the upgraded version of previous AIN) completed on 18th December 2020 . I provide social and Community Support to persons who either have a mental of Physical Disability across all age ranges from age 5 to 100. For me this is a fun job where i have much more time to spend with people and i feel it is my chance to give back and really make a difference in peoples lives. I have a wheelchair accessible van to assist in providing Community access support and i have had alot of interest in this due to the shortage of wheelchair taxis which exists on the Gold Coast. I have had a wide range of experience mental health field , over a 40 year period. I have a vast amount of experience to draw upon, and although I am a mature man, I relate well to all age groups. I was a support worker in a residential facility, for young persons between the age of 14 -21 but i have also worked as a support worker for Dementia Australia where age range was 60 to 100. As a Psychologist and support worker I have worked with, clients with BPD Autism , Depression ADHD ,Anxiety , Eating Disorders Schizophrenia, Bipolar . I provided support for persons with Mental illness working for brave life, who specialised in support services for people with mental illness. I am wanting to work with younger people but i find it hard due to my age but once people meet me I usually form a positive impression. I have supported single mothers with their children before and after school and don't mind providing transport in either my wheelchair accessible van or my ford Falcon Sedan. To summarise i can provide support and Community Access /behaviour change across a wide variety of ages from age 5 to 100 . Despite being a mature man most people tell me i do not look or act my age and i go to gym lift weights and go running 6 times a week .
