My motivation to become a social carer stems from a personal experience in 2024 when my cousin suffered a minor stroke. Witnessing the crucial role that support service staff played in his recovery and the positive impact they had on my aunt and uncle’s lives inspired me deeply. I believe my empathy, dedication, and firsthand understanding of the importance of support services will enable me to excel in helping others with disabilities. I have a range of skills from my studies in Arts, IT and graphic design. I have skills as an IT specialist, graphic designer, and content producer. I love teamwork as I believe work we work best collaboratively with one another. Each one of us is unique and we each come to the team with a unique skillset. I am a fast and dedicated learner. I believe anyone can learn and master any skill, and that the difference in ability comes down to the time it takes someone to do so and the level of support they need. I am an excellent verbal communicator and writer. I have experience in marketing and web developing working in both private corporations and government departments. I have many passions and hobbies that all stem from my love of learning. Currently, I practice illustration and painting daily. I draw using graphite and colour pencil and I paint using gouache and acrylic. My goal is to eventually to become a talented surrealist and fantasy realism painter. I love astronomy and will frequently travel into the country side with my reflector telescope to stargaze. I love reading and hope to finish 30 books this year.
