I want to be a social carer because I’m passionate about helping people live with dignity, independence, and purpose. I find great meaning in supporting others, especially those who may be vulnerable or face barriers, and helping them achieve their goals, whether that’s gaining confidence, building life skills, or simply enjoying daily life.
I believe I’d be good at it because I genuinely care, I listen well, and I’m patient and adaptable. I have experience supporting people with intellectual and physical disabilities in both structured programs and everyday community settings. I’m a strong communicator who knows how to adjust my approach to suit the individual, and I build trust easily. I also understand the importance of routine, respect, and choice in people’s lives, and I’m committed to providing quality, person-centred support that makes a positive difference.

Sailing: I sail competitively around Australia and also teach others
