I want to become a social worker because I’m passionate about supporting vulnerable people in our community, particularly the elderly and those facing hardship. I believe everyone deserves a good quality of life and access to care, dignity, and support, regardless of their circumstances. Social work allows me to make a meaningful difference by helping individuals improve their wellbeing, navigate challenges, and feel valued and heard. Some of my skills, would be to be handy around the house, and somewhat capable in doing some basic mwchanical repairs. My obbies would hiking, scuba diving, and snow skiing. I consider myself a patient and understanding person who takes the time to listen. I try to see people’s circumstances from their perspective, which helps me respond with empathy rather than judgment. Being a good listener allows me to build trust and make others feel heard and valued, which I believe is essential in social work. I’m motivated to use these qualities to help improve people’s wellbeing and make a positive difference in their lives.
