I am highly motivated in changing my career path towards something where I can use my empathy, passion, resilience, and the understanding that I have in fostering my appreciation of those who are struggling. I am an exceptional active Listener with skills to attentively understand a clients concerns with their perspectives and needs. One of my core strengths in the Early Learning sector was to support those who are in need of extra assistance. My strong bonds with families, carers and the children are one of the things I pride myself in. I am advocate for social justice and equity, working to empower the vulnerable populations and challenging systemic barriers, this is reflected in my volunteering work with Vinnies. My Primary teaching experience demonstrates my problem-solving skills, working collaboratively with colleagues/parents and carers in developing practical solutions and resources to improve a student's day at school. My colleagues state I have patience and persistence when working with individuals and families facing long-term challenges, advocating for sustainable solutions and progress over time. My adult children have left the nest, giving me flexibility to pursue my dreams of becoming a social worker. My hobbies are shopping, both online and shopping complex. Travel. I endeavour to travel to developing countries and assist in helping build homes and supplies that unnecessary. I love the beach, movies and seeing live bands in concerts or a the local pub. I am originally from Sydney with 2 sons Zachary 34 and Tim 26. At 57 after years of being married, I am now single, HOWEVER we are best friends.
