With a few of my loved ones requiring at-home care, I’ve seen firsthand the impact genuine connections can have. I’ve always felt very passionate about inclusion and want to do as much as I can to make sure no one is neglected of help, especially those in need of it most. I have family and friends of all backgrounds and abilities, and find that I gravitate towards those different to me as those friendships are where I learn and discover the most. My sisters and I were always raised to live with empathy and understanding, so making sure people feel seen and appreciated will always be important to me. I believe that every single person has something to teach others, so the opportunity to care for people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds, means I will always be learning too. My goal has always been to find a job that fulfils me and makes me feel as though I’ve made a difference, no matter how small, and I can’t think of something more rewarding than becoming a Social Carer.
