I love to be part of a caring community and tending towards it, as I strongly believe that a good community can make anyone in this world even the slightest bit happier. I think I could be good at it as I hold highly it’s value, I love caring and helping out, and also having fun!
I love to have fun! My two main interests are sports and music; I grew up playing and watching a plethora of sports, the main ones being soccer, rugby, cricket, surfing, boxing, and basketball. I love a run around and have plenty of energy for it! Music is my second love, when I hit 13 are started hitting the drums for fun, then quickly made a (rocky) rock band with my mates (whether we were good or not is still hotly debated). In my career I’ve taught drums, guitar, bass, and ukulele, and I am always eager and willing to share the knowledge. I love passing around the passion for music.
A bulk of my professional experience has been working and caring for a wide-range of children; from ADHD, ASD, children with complex trauma, mental health difficulties, and sometimes a combination of these characteristics within one child. I derive great satisfaction from positive interactions with young people, however I can be flexible with the needs of the role and will branch out to older ages if and when the role needs.
Furthermore, as someone who has many autistic traits myself, alongside several family members and loved ones with ASD and ADHD, I feel that I have a lot of personal experience with these characteristics and can empathise on a personal level to those living with these conditions.
